The harp is the ideal instrument to have on your special day. It is easily transported and can be played both outdoors and inside a venue. It sounds fantastic on its own and does not require any accompaniment. It can be loud enough to get the attention of the guests, but also subtle enough to compliment the conversations happening around it. You can combine the harp with almost any other instrument to make a beautiful or vibey ensemble.
If you are planning a wedding or civil ceremony, you may want to consider the following:
What atmosphere you would like to create for each part of the ceremony and the celebration: for instance, you may want some classical music in the ceremony to set a tranquil ambience where as you may want a mixture of lighter classical music and popular music to lend a more festive atmosphere to the drinks reception or breakfast.
Where you would like music to feature in the ceremony and celebration: usually a musician will play the bridal party in, perform a specially chosen piece while the couple are signing the register and then again as the wedding party leaves. You may want to think of pieces that have special meaning to you that could be performed.
Please contact me to help you find music to create the perfect moment you would like to remember for years to come, if you want to ask about repertoire or if you have a piece of music that is special to you that I can arrange and play for you. Please see some examples of what I play listed below.
